Our story
Manon’s parents created the Manon Cœur de Lion charity in 2019. The starting point: many of the therapies Manon needs are not covered by the French health system.
They didn’t want to give up on anything that might help her. So they set up a non-profit, to raise funds and bring together everyone willing to lend a hand.
What we do
First, fund Manon’s care: physiotherapy and psychomotor equipment, conductive education courses, MEDEK physiotherapy, equine therapy, Makaton training. Then, help other families facing the same disease, by supporting them through the paperwork and standing beside them. And finally, give part of our funds to research into rare genetic diseases.
Our actions
Every euro raised is used carefully, as close to the needs as possible.
In practice, the charity donates a percentage of its revenue to research (the Imagine Institute, at Necker hospital), funds rehabilitation equipment for Manon and other children, and organises therapy courses. We also sell handmade items (bracelets, keyrings, pouches) whose proceeds fund our projects.
